Woodlawn is not only an exceptional place for doing business, it’s also a great place to call home. The town’s quiet residential district is reached by tree-lined streets winding up gentle hills revealing delightful charms.

Woodlawn residents have the reassurance of living in a town where public services are superior and reliable. The Village staffs a full time 14 member police department and the fire department has an exceptional fleet of fire prevention and EMS equipment. The town boasts an unusually low crime rate and its Class V fire insurance rating guarantees homeowners and businesses both safety and cost savings. The Village also staffs full time Public Service and Recreation Departments. There is a medical office complex and an outpatient care facility located in Woodlawn, and Greater Cincinnati’s hospital community includes over 9,100 beds in more than 30 hospitals, two of which are located within fifteen minutes of Woodlawn.

Woodlawn’s development has been deliberate and planned by a well-managed government and a network of dedicated resident and business volunteers. Under a statutory form of government, an elected mayor and six member Council work in conjunction with a professional Municipal Staff, Planning Commission and Economic Development Committee to maintain a high level of public services and to guide future growth. Woodlawn combines cosmopolitan amenities afforded by its closeness to Cincinnati with small town ambience. Many residents and businesses have already discovered this well kept secret by making Woodlawn their home. History of the Beautiful Woodlawn Business Association The Beautiful Woodlawn Business Association was formed in 1977 bt founder, Stan Grueninger. Some of the original goals of the BWBA remain our goals today as we enter into the new millennium under our new name the “Woodlawn Chamber of Commerce.”

GOALS:

1. Meeting our business neighbors and determine how we can help and trade with each other.
2. Bring about successful communication between the Woodlawn Council and the businesses.
3. Help keep Woodlawn beautiful and encourage businesses to fly the Woodlawn flag.
4. Encourage new businesses to locate in Woodlawn.
5. Serve as a Chamber of Commerce in the community.
6. Show interest and concern for the citizens of Woodlawn.
7. Improve the business climate image in Woodlawn.
8. Discuss mutual concerns and help each other solve our problems.
9. Provide a meeting location where members can interact with each other and learn from our speakers.
10. Provide benefits and discounts on products and services to our members.
